This 1988 Ferrari Testarossa is a US-market example that was brought to Canada after being acquired by the seller in 2008 and was subsequently issued a Ferrari Classiche Red Book in 2013. Finished in Rosso Corsa over beige leather, the car is powered by a 4.9-liter flat-12 linked with a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. It rides on 16″ five-spoke alloy wheels fitted over ventilated disc brakes at all four corners and is further equipped with pop-up headlights, a MOMO steering wheel, a gated shifter, and air conditioning. A Tubi-style exhaust system and a Kenwood stereo have been added, and a timing belt service is noted to have been completed in 2023. Now showing 19k miles, this 1988.5 Testarossa is now offered in Canada with the aforementioned Red Book as well as a Schedoni six-piece luggage set, manufacturer’s literature, a tool kit, removed exhaust components, an accident-free Carfax report, and Ontario registration in the seller’s name.
The Pininfarina-designed body is finished in Rosso Corsa and features an asymmetrical cooling duct in the front lip spoiler as well as side intake strakes and black-finished rocker panels. Further details include pop-up headlights, integrated fog lights, and quad exhaust outlets. The seller notes paint chips on the front bumper as well as on the passenger’s side of the body. The 4.9-liter flat-12 was factory rated at 380 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque. The seller states that a timing belt service was performed in the spring of 2023.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. A Tubi-style exhaust system has been fitted.
The Ferrari Classiche red book contains a certificate of authenticity listing factory equipment, colors, and a delivery date of May 1988.
A Schedoni luggage set comprised of six brown leather bags is included in the sale along with manufacturer’s literature, a tool kit, and removed exhaust components.
The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage. It notes that the car was registered in a flood disaster area by FEMA in 2005.
The vehicle is being sold on its Ontario registration, which serves as the ownership document in Ontario, Canada.
