This 1992 Ferrari 348 TS was purchased by its current owner in April 2005, and 15k of the 26k shown miles have been added since that time. It has spent most of its time registered in Colorado and California. The car is finished in Rosso Corsa over beige Connolly leather and is powered by a 3.4-liter DOHC V8 linked with a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Features include a removable roof panel, 17″ five-spoke alloy wheels, a gated shifter, air conditioning, a Sony CD stereo, and power windows. This 348 is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with owner’s manuals, service records, a Ferrari F1-style button-up shirt, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the owner’s name.
The 348 was the final V8-powered Ferrari model developed under the direction of Enzo Ferrari, and its design was overseen by Pininfarina chief stylist Leonardo Fioravanti. This example is finished in Rosso Corsa and features a removable body-color roof panel, pop-up headlights, fog lights, side air intakes, louvered taillights, and quad exhaust tips.
The 17″ five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with Toyo tires, which were fitted in April 2007. Stopping power is provided by Ferrari-branded calipers over ventilated discs along with an anti-lock system.
The cabin features two seats upholstered in beige Connolly leather along with a matching dashboard, center console, and door panels. Equipment includes a dogleg-pattern gated shifter, a Sony CD stereo, air conditioning, a heated rear window, and power windows and door locks. Sticky trim has been replaced, the fuel-door release functions intermittently, and the motorized seat belt functionality has been deactivated.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Veglia Borletti instrumentation including a 200-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 7,500-rpm redline, and gauges for coolant temperature and oil pressure. Auxiliary gauges for oil temperature and fuel level are mounted in the center stack. The six-digit odometer shows 26k miles, approximately 15k of which have been added by the seller.
The 3.4-liter quad-cam Tipo F119 V8 features Bosch Motronic engine management and was factory rated at 296 horsepower and 229 lb-ft of torque. A belt service was conducted in May 2019. Braces have been added to the hood and trunk struts. The seller indicates that the car is intermittently difficult to restart following a longer period of driving.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential.
