This 1995 Ferrari 456 GT was purchased new by Boyd Coddington, American hot rod designer and star of the TV show American Hot Rod, and it now shows 42k miles following the current owner’s acquisition on BaT in December 2023. The car is powered by a 5.5-liter F116 V12 paired with a six-speed manual transaxle and is finished in Nero over matching Connolly leather upholstery. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, 17″ five-spoke alloy wheels, a gated shifter, pop-up headlights, fog lights, power-adjustable front seats, automatic climate control, and a custom sound system. The timing belt was most recently replaced in 2021. This 456 GT is offered on dealer consignment with an owner’s manual, stamped service booklet, service records dating from 2014, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Florida title.
The Pininfarina-designed aluminum and composite bodywork is finished in Nero, and the car features pop-up headlights, integrated fog lights, tinted windows, and polished quadruple exhaust tips exiting through the rear valance. Close-up photographs of the exterior finish and trim are shown in the gallery below. The front bumper was replaced in 2014.
Silver 17″ five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires. Self-adjusting dampers and self-leveling rear suspension were standard equipment. Stopping power is provided by Ferrari-branded four-piston brake calipers over ventilated rotors at each corner.
The cabin features Nero Connolly leather upholstery that extends from the seating surfaces to the center console, lower dashboard, and door panels. Equipment includes power-adjustable front seats, a gated shifter, automatic climate control, a Pioneer head unit, and a custom sound system that is said to consist of an ARC Audio Signature Edition amplifier, an ARC Audio KS amplifier, Focal 165 KRX2 speakers, and a pair of Focal Berlium subwoofers. There are creases on the outer driver’s seat bolster.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Veglia Borletti instrumentation including a 200-mph speedometer, a 10k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and oil pressure. An analog clock and gauges for fuel level and oil temperature are located in the center stack. The six-digit odometer shows 42k miles, approximately 330 of which were added under current ownership.
The 5.5-liter F116 V12 features four valves per cylinder, Bosch Motronic fuel injection, and dry-sump lubrication. It was factory-rated at 436 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque. A timing belt service was completed in 2021 by Winning Makes of Santa Barbara, California, and additional work at that time included repairing fuel and coolant leaks. The car was serviced in 2024, and the associated record is provided in the gallery.
Power routed to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential.
An owner’s manual, stamped service booklet, and leather case accompany the car.
The Carfax report is free of accidents and other reported damage.
