This book, titled The Official Ferrari Opus, is number 12 of a believed 500 Cavallino Rampante editions produced by Opus and was purchased new by the owner in 2011. The 852-page publication features a red cover with silver edge paint and a Ferrari logo on the front. It includes more than 2,000 images, along with interviews and essays chronicling Ferrari’s history through 2011. A pair of white cotton handling gloves is included. The book is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner at no reserve in Burlingame, California.
Published in 2011 by Opus for Ferrari, the hardbound book features a red cover with silver edge paint, a Ferrari logo on the front, and two black bookmark ribbons. Production of Cavallino Rampante editions is believed to have been limited to 500 copies. The book weighs approximately 47 pounds and measures 20″ by 20″. Blemishes are visible on the spine and cover.
The opening pages include a welcome message from former Ferrari chairman Luca Cordero di Montezemolo and a two-page table of contents. The book spans 852 pages and contains more than 2,000 images documenting Ferrari’s history from 1947 to 2011. The opening pages have Fernando Alonso, Felipe Massa, Luigi Chinetti Jr., and Luca Cordero di Montezemolo signatures.
