20-Years-Owned 1999 Ferrari 456M GT 6-Speed

This 1999 Ferrari 456M GT is powered by a 5.5-liter F116 V12 that was rebuilt in December 2024 at a cost of more than $77k, and the Bordeaux Connolly leather interior was overhauled the prior year. The car is finished in Silver and is equipped with a six-speed manual transaxle, a limited-slip differential, 17″ five-spoke alloy wheels, a gated shifter, pop-up headlights, fog lights, power-adjustable front seats, a Ferrari cassette radio, a Becker CD changer, and automatic climate control. The current owner acquired the car two decades ago, and it now shows 14k miles. This 456M GT is offered on dealer consignment in California with a window sticker, records, literature, photographs depicting recent work, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Massachusetts title.

The Pininfarina-designed aluminum and composite bodywork is finished in Silver. The modificata models featured a revised grille with inset fog lights as well as pop-up headlights, and polished quadruple exhaust tips exiting through the rear valance. The engine-lid struts have been replaced within the last two years.

Silver 17″ five-spoke alloy wheels were recently mounted with Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02 tires. Self-adjusting dampers and self-leveling rear suspension were standard equipment, and the rear dampers were overhauled in preparation for the sale. Stopping power is provided by Ferrari-branded four-piston brake calipers over ventilated rotors at each corner.

Trimmed in Bordeaux Connolly leather, the cabin was partially disassembled and serviced in November 2023. The dashboard, headliner, parcel shelf, rear headrests, and side panels were reupholstered, and the switchgear was overhauled. Features include power-adjustable front seats, a gated shifter, a Ferrari cassette radio, a Becker CD changer, and automatic climate control.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Veglia Borletti instrumentation including a 200-mph speedometer, a 10k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and the oil pressure. An analog clock and gauges for fuel level and oil temperature are located in the center stack. The six-digit odometer shows 14k miles.

The 5.5-liter F116 V12 features four valves per cylinder, Bosch Motronic fuel injection, and dry-sump lubrication. It was factory rated at 436 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque.

Engine-out service is depicted in the gallery below, and it is detailed in a December 2024 invoice from I.F.S. Inc. in South Easton, Massachusetts that totals more than $77k. Among other details, work included adjusting the valves, overhauling the heads, cleaning various components, converting the air-conditioning system to use R134a refrigerant, and replacing the timing belts, ignition components, and engine mounts.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Additional photographs of the underside are shown in the gallery below.

The window sticker shows initial delivery to Algar Ferrari of Philadelphia in Rosemont, Pennsylvania, and it lists factory colors, equipment, and a total suggested retail price of $224,800.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or damage.

The car is titled in Massachusetts but is located in California, and it has not passed a California emissions inspection.
