This 2002 Ferrari 360 Modena Challenge is a factory-built race car that was designed to compete in the Ferrari Challenge racing series, and it was reportedly campaigned by Level 5 Motorsports at SCCA events in 2008 and 2009, including a win at the 2008 Runoffs. The car is finished in black over a race-prepped cabin, and power is provided by a 3.6-liter V8 mated to a six-speed F1 sequential transaxle with a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes 18″ BBS Challenge wheels, Moton Suspension Technologies coilovers, Brembo disc brakes, and Premier Fuel Systems quick-fill refueling valves as well as a Setrab oil cooler, a Magneti Marelli data logger, and an OMP roll cage, carbon-fiber race seat, and fire-suppression system. Acquired by the selling dealer in 2022, the car was previously listed on BaT in May 2023 and received a timing belt service in July 2025. This 360 Modena Challenge is now offered by the selling dealer in Washington with a bill of sale.
Originally Argento Nurburgring, the aluminum Pininfarina-designed bodywork is finished in black and features exterior graphics that were installed since the 2023 BaT auction. Additional features include a front tow hook, an ignition cut-off switch, a roof-mounted stub antenna, quick-release front and rear panels, a Perspex engine cover, dual exhaust outlets that exit through the rear fascia, and Premier Fuel Systems quick-fill refueling valves located on both C pillars. There is a touched-up repair on the right door and scrapes on the lower surfaces of the body.
Silver 18″ BBS Challenge wheels are mounted with 245/35 front and 315/30 rear Hoosier R6 tires. Moton 3-Way Motorsport remote-reservoir coilovers have been added at the corners, and stopping power comes from Brembo calipers and two-piece rotors all around. The brake rotor hats were repaired in July 2025.
The race-prepped cabin houses a carbon-fiber OMP racing seat and features an OMP bolt-in roll cage that is said to have been modified to be SCCA compliant. Additional details include a fire-suppression system, a Magneti Marelli data logging system, an Alcantara-covered dashboard, and carbon-fiber door, instrument, center stack, and center console panels.
The Magneti Marelli MT940 LCD display/input module includes a sweeping bar-style tachometer and digital readouts for coolant and oil temperatures, oil pressure, battery charge, and gear selection.
The 3.6-liter 40-valve Tipo F131 V8 features a flat-plane crankshaft, titanium connecting rods, dry-sump lubrication, dual overhead camshafts, a lightweight flywheel, a racing clutch, a Setrab transmission oil cooler, and a Bosch ECU. A custom exhaust system was installed under previous ownership. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed F1 sequential transaxle with a limited-slip differential. A timing belt service was performed in July 2025 at Ferrari of Seattle, Washington, at which time the exhaust was repaired and the spark plugs were replaced.
The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage.
The car is not legal for road use and carries no title or registration. It is being sold on a bill of sale.
