This model of a Ferrari 250 GTO is said to have been created by Olivier De Schrijver and was acquired by the seller in August 2025. The model features a sculpted body and interior constructed from wood, and it rolls on two steel axles. Highlights of the build include opening doors, carved-out air scoops and lights, a mesh grille carving, and acrylic windows. This rolling model is now offered at no reserve in Pompano Beach, Florida.
The Ferrari 250 Gran Turismo Omologato was introduced in 1962, and 36 examples were produced over two series before production ended in 1964. The model’s success in Group 3 GT racing led to Ferrari winning the Over 2000cc class of the FIA’s International Championship for GT Manufacturers from 1962 to 1964.
The doors of this wooden scale model pivot on concealed hinges, and the windows are fabricated from acrylic. This model is said to have been assembled over the course of 60 hours.
Wheels, tires, and knock-off spinners are also constructed from wood. Tread patterns have been carved into the outer edge of the tires.
The interior features two bucket seats, a dashboard, a center console, a shifter, a rearview mirror, and door panels that emulate the appearance of the 250 GTO’s cabin.
The wood steering wheel fronts a wooden turn signal stalk and frames wooden instruments mimicking the layout of gauges on the 250 GTO.
The underside is flat and conceals the two steel axles. The model is approximately 48″ in length.
