This limited edition Ferrari book is #0000 of 1,947 examples produced by publisher Taschen for Ferrari. The book is bound in red leather and contains content from the Ferrari archives and private collections. A Ferrari V12-inspired display case houses the 514-page publication. This Ferrari book was acquired by the seller in 2024 and is now offered at no reserve in Glen Cove, New York.
Designed by Marc Newson, the aluminum display case was inspired by a Ferrari V12 and features valve cover-style folding lids finished in a red wrinkle coat with brushed Ferrari logos.
Serial number ☆0000☆ is stamped between the two lids. 1,947 copies were produced, and the seller states example 0000 was the first produced and used for the press release initially promoting the book.
The signed, translucent cover sheet also lists number 0000 and is stamped with “Sample not for sale”.
The book measures 17″ tall and features a red leather binding with a chrome prancing horse emblem. Content spans 514 pages and chronicles Ferrari’s history with documents, photographs, and drawings.
An appendix of Ferrari’s victories from 1947 to 2017 is included.
A Taschen-branded wooden shipping crate is included.
