This 1982 Ferrari Mondial 8 was purchased by the current owner in 2002 from the selling dealer. Powered by a 2.9-liter F106B V8 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle, the car is finished in Rosso Corsa over beige leather. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, 390mm five-spoke alloy wheels, a sunroof, a gated shifter, a cassette stereo, power windows, and air conditioning. Work in 2024 involved changing the engine oil, servicing the transaxle, and replacing the shifter seal. This Mondial 8 coupe is now offered on dealer consignment with service records and a clean Connecticut title.
The Pininfarina-styled bodywork is finished in Rosso Corsa and equipped with a sunroof, pop-up headlights, integrated front fog lights, side air intakes, black lower bodywork, and quadruple exhaust outlets. A rust bubble on the bottom of the right door is noted along with fading around the left air intake.
The 390mm five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with Michelin TRX tires that were installed in 2017. Braking is handled by four-wheel vented discs, and the calipers were rebuilt in 2019.
The four-place cabin features seating surfaces upholstered in beige leather along with a color-coordinated lower dashboard, center console, and door trim. Interior features include a gated shifter, an Alpine cassette stereo, power windows, and air conditioning. Interior wear is depicted in the gallery below.
The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames an 85-mph speedometer, a 10k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 42k miles, approximately 3k of which were added under current ownership. The speedometer transducer was replaced in 2019, and the seller notes that the gas gauge and engine temperature gauges work intermittently.
The transverse 2.9-liter F106B V8 features two valves per cylinder, aluminum construction, two overhead camshafts per cylinder bank, and Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection to produce a factory-rated 205 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque. The timing belt and water pump were replaced in 2011, the radiator was replaced in 2018, and an oil change was performed in 2024. The seller recommends that a timing belt service should be performed.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. In July 2024, a shifter seal kit was fitted and gearbox oil was changed. A related service record is included in the gallery.
