This 1973 Ferrari Dino 246 GTS is one of approximately 2,900 E-series examples produced through July 1974 and was completed in January 1973 before being delivered new to Carl A. Haas Automobile Imports of Highland Park, Illinois. Chassis 05476 remained with the same owner from November 1973 through March 2002 and later spent time with several other caretakers before being acquired by the current owner in March 2022. Finished in Argento Auteuil Metallizzato over Beige leather upholstery, the car is powered by a 2.4L V6 equipped with triple Weber carburetors that is mated to a five-speed manual transaxle. It rides on 14×7.5″ Cromodora-look alloy wheels coupled with Koni shocks and ventilated disc brakes at all four corners. Further details include a removable roof panel and a retrofitted Becker Mexico stereo as well as a MOMO steering wheel paired with a gated shifter. Work since 2022 has involved overhauling the air conditioning system as well as syncing the carburetors and performing a tune-up. Now showing 11k miles, this E-series 246 is offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with a Marcel Massini Report, service records, a tool kit, the removed 14×6.5″ Cromodora wheels, and a clean Minnesota title in the name of the owner’s trust.

The prototype 206 GT first appeared at the 1965 Paris Auto Salon with bodywork designed by Aldo Brovarone and Leonardo Fioravanti at Pininfarina and was followed by revised concepts at the 1966 and 1967 Turin Motor Shows. The 2.0L-powered 206 entered production in early 1968 before being superseded by the 2.4L-powered 246, which was offered in GT coupe and GTS targa-top variants beginning in 1969 and 1971, respectively.

Additional exterior features include a removable roof panel, a power antenna, a driver-side mirror, chrome bumperettes, and quad ANSA exhaust finishers.

The car wears a set of 14×7.5″ wheels styled after the Cromodora wheels fitted to “chairs and flares” models. The wheels were mounted with 205/70 Michelin XWX tires in March 2022, and the removed 14×6.5″ Cromodora wheels will accompany the car. The suspension incorporates unequal-length A-arms, coilover Koni shock absorbers, and anti-roll bars at front and rear, while stopping power is provided by power-assisted ventilated disc brakes all around. The brake fluid was changed in July 2025.
