2001 Ferrari 550 Maranello

This 2001 Ferrari 550 Maranello shows 25k miles following registration history in Ohio, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Texas, and Arizona, and it was purchased by its current owner on BaT in October 2019. A timing belt service was completed and the ECU was replaced in December 2024. It is finished in Nero Daytona over Beige Tradizione leather and is powered by a 5.5-liter V12 paired with a six-speed manual transaxle. The car is equipped with a limited-slip differential, 18″ five-spoke alloy wheels, fog lights, Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, power-adjustable seats, a diamond-quilted leather rear parcel shelf, a gated shifter, a CD stereo, and automatic climate control. This 550 Maranello is now offered on dealer consignment with factory manuals in a leather folio, a leather binder of records, a tool kit, a Ferrari 550 car cover, two seat covers, two sets of keys, a clean Carfax report and a clean Arizona title.

The 550 Maranello was styled by Pininfarina, and this example is finished in Nero Daytona. Equipment includes projector-style headlights, fog lights, a hood scoop, a front spoiler, front fender vents, Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, and quad exhaust tips exiting through the rear bumper cover. The underside of the front bumper cover was repaired in February 2012, and areas of paintwork are noted by the selling dealer. Clear paint-protection film has been affixed to the front. A full paint correction and ceramic coating application were performed in preparation for the sale.

The 18″ five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. Braking is handled by red-finished Ferrari-branded calipers over cross-drilled and ventilated rotors at all four corners. The selling dealer tells us that the car rides lower than stock and that wheel spacers have been added. The rear dampers were replaced in April 2020, and work in March 2023 included replacing the brake fluid and replacing front bushings.

The cabin features power-adjustable seats upholstered in beige Tradizione leather with black piping. Amenities include a gated shifter, automatic climate control, electric windows, a CD stereo, rear luggage straps, and diamond-quilted upholstery for the parcel shelf. The steering wheel, dashboard, and airbag assemblies were re-trimmed and re-stitched in black Ferrari leather in 2020 by Exclusive Motorcars of Arizona (EMC). Sticky buttons have also been addressed under current ownership.

The leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel fronts a Jaeger gauge cluster with a 220-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 7,600-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature and oil pressure, while an analog clock and gauges for oil temperature and fuel level are located atop the center stack. The six-digit odometer shows 25k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership.

The 5.5-liter quad-cam F133A V12 features 48 valves, dry-sump lubrication, and Bosch Motronic engine management for a factory-rated output of 478 horsepower and 419 lb-ft of torque. Aftermarket exhaust components are said to have been installed. The car has received routine maintenance by EMC throughout current ownership, and associated invoices are provided in the gallery. Work has involved two timing belt services, the most recent of which was in December 2024 at 24k miles. A new ECU was also fitted at this time. The battery was replaced in August 2024.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential.
