This 1974 Ferrari Dino 246 GTS is one of approximately 2,900 E-series examples produced through July 1974 and is noted to have been sold new through Algar Ferrari in Pennsylvania before being acquired by the seller in 1981. Chassis 07936 underwent refurbishment work circa 2000 that involved a repaint in red and an interior re-trim in black leather upholstery. Power is provided by a 2.4-liter V6 equipped with triple Weber carburetors, while gear changes are through a five-speed manual transaxle. The car rides on 14″ Cromodora five-lug alloy wheels coupled with ventilated disc brakes at all four corners, and further equipment includes a removable roof panel as well as a MOMO steering wheel, a gated shifter, air conditioning, and a Becker radio. This E-series 246 is now offered with an owner’s manual, service records, a spare MOMO steering wheel, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.

With bodywork designed by Aldo Brovarone and Leonardo Fioravanti at Pininfarina, the prototype 206 GT first appeared at the 1965 Paris Auto Salon and was followed by revised concepts at the 1966 and 1967 Turin Motor Shows. The 2.0L 206 entered production in early 1968 and was later superseded by the 2.4L 246, which was offered in GT coupe and GTS targa-top variants beginning in 1969 and 1971, respectively.

The Scaglietti-built bodywork on this example was repainted red approximately 30 years ago, according to the seller. The car features a removable black roof panel, and US-market lighting includes recessed rectangular front turn signals, side markers, and rear reflectors inboard of the taillights. A power antenna, driver-side mirror, chrome bumperettes, and quad exhaust outlets are further details.

The 14″ Cromodora five-lug alloy wheels wear Dino-branded center caps and are mounted with 205/70 General Altimax RT43 tires . A matching spare wheel with an older Sumitomo tire is stored in the front trunk. The suspension incorporates unequal-length A-arms, coilover shock absorbers, and anti-roll bars at front and rear. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted ventilated disc brakes all around, and the brake switch was replaced in November 2024.

The cabin houses fixed-back bucket seats that were re-upholstered in black leather approximately 25 years ago, according to the seller. Gray “mouse-fur” trim accents the dash, while black upholstery extends to the center console and door panels. Additional features include a Becker Europa II AM/FM radio as well as air conditioning, power windows, and headrests mounted to the seatbacks. Work in April 2025 by Tim Stanford Foreign Cars of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, included replacing the air conditioning receiver drier and recharging the system with R12 refrigerant.

The leather-trimmed MOMO steering wheel features a Dino horn button and is paired with a dogleg-pattern gated shifter. The wheel frames Dino-branded Veglia Borletti instrumentation including a tachometer with a 7,750-rpm redline as well as a 170-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges for oil temperature, coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 75k miles, approximately 62k of which were added under current ownership. The current Florida title lists a 78k-mile odometer reading, which the seller believes to be a clerical error.

The mid-mounted 2.4-liter Tipo 135CS V6 features a 65° angle between cylinder banks, dual overhead camshafts on each bank, Magneti Marelli ignition, and a trio of two-barrel Weber carburetors. The alternator was rebuilt and the voltage regulator replaced in 2019. The fuel pump was replaced in January 2023, while service in 2024 involved cleaning and adjusting the carburetors in addition to replacing the spark plugs, battery, fuel filter, and a fuel hose.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transaxle.

A second MOMO steering wheel is included in the sale along with an owner’s manual, a collection of records, and additional spare parts.

Chassis number 07936 is shown above along with a March 1974 manufacture date. The VIN on the title is listed as 246GTS07936, which appears in the engine bay.
