This travel box was produced by Ferrari to provide trackside support for the Italian carmaker’s track-only Corse Clienti 599XX Programme, and is said to have been in the seller’s possession for the past 16 years. The black rolling case houses a refueling system, a torque wrench, a center-lock wheel socket, a Tubi Style muffler, an air jack lance, and data acquisition equipment. Per the seller, several of the components have not been used. This 599XX Programme travel box is offered at no reserve in Rancho Cucamonga, California.
This travel box was intended to service a 599XX and features “road case” construction consisting of aluminum framing, black panels with program branding, plated steel latches, hinged carrying handles, and six caster wheels. It measures around 74” long by 32” wide by 33” tall and weighs around 300 pounds.
The interior is sectioned using black plywood and molded foam. A Stäubli SAF 45 refueling system in the center compartment consists of a vertical stand, a fuel tank, a gravity-fed hose, and a quick-connect nozzle.
The Facom torque wrench is housed in a red carrying case and accompanied by a center-lock wheel socket.
Additional tools include a Magneti Marelli lap trigger, a data-acquisition harness, and a Sobek air-jack lance.
The Tubi Style 599XX muffler is constructed of stainless steel and retains four factory exhaust hangers as well as a plaque engraved with Ferrari part number 263614 and a 02/2010 production date.
