This 1980 Ferrari 512 BB is one of 929 carbureted examples produced between 1976 and 1981. Chassis 34935 was imported to the the US after leaving the factory in December 1980 and is said to have remained with its first owner until 1988. It was repainted in its current metallic green finish in 1995 while under the care of its second owner, with whom it remained until its acquisition by the selling dealer in May 2025. The car is powered by a 4.9-liter F102B flat-12 linked with a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. It rides on center-lock 15″ five-spoke alloy wheels and features pop-up headlights as well as a front lip spoiler and a high-mount rear wing. Inside, Daytona-style seats trimmed in beige leather are accompanied by a Nardi steering wheel, a gated shifter, and air conditioning. Work commissioned by the selling dealer in 2025 is noted to have involved performing a timing belt service, rebuilding the triple-barrel Weber carburetors, adding a high-torque starter, and more as detailed below. This 512 BB is now offered in North Salem, New York, by the selling dealer, a BaT Local Partner, with manufacturer’s literature, service records, a tool kit, removed parts, and a clean Montana title.

The Berlinetta Boxer model was styled by Pininfarina’s Leonardo Fioravanti and was introduced at the 1971 Turin Auto Show. The car features a steel-paneled cabin section paired with a tubular chassis. Aluminum is incorporated for the front and rear clamshells and door panels, while the lower panels are fiberglass. The cars were not officially offered in the US, though some were imported and federalized in-period via the gray market.

Originally finished in black, this example was repainted in its current metallic green finish at Unique Twist of North Hollywood, California, in 1995. The car features a body-color front lip spoiler along with a black high-mount rear wing and intake covers. Further details include pop-up headlights, door-mounted side mirrors, NACA side ducts, and quad exhaust outlets.

Center-lock 15″ five-spoke alloy wheels are wrapped with 215/70 front and 225/70 rear Michelin XWX tires in September 2025. The suspension incorporates anti-roll bars, coil springs, and Koni shocks all around with a double shock setup out back, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes. The brake fluid was flushed and the tires were mounted in 2025.

The Daytona-style seats are trimmed in beige leather with black accents, and color-coordinated upholstery extends to the center console and door panels. Amenities include Borletti air conditioning as well as three-point seatbelts and power windows. A removed Alpine AM/FM cassette stereo and amplifier will accompany the car.

The split-spoke Nardi steering wheel is paired with a dogleg-pattern gated shifter. Veglia instrumentation consists of a 200-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 7k-rpm redline as well as auxiliary gauges that extend to the left of the instrument cluster as well as the center of the dashboard. The retrofitted five-digit odometer shows 33k miles, approximately 50 of which were added under current ownership. The speedometer sender was replaced in June 2001, and true mileage is unknown.

The 4.9-liter F102B flat-12 features aluminum construction, dual overhead camshafts per bank, dry-sump lubrication, and quad triple-barrel Weber carburetors to produce a factory-rated 340 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. The selling dealer tells us that work in 2025 has involved performing a timing belt service, rebuilding the carburetors, recurving the distributor, and adding a high-torque starter in addition to replacing the coolant expansion tank, spark plugs, and various hoses. The catalytic converters were removed under previous ownership and are included in the sale.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The selling dealer tells us that the transaxle fluid was changed in 2025.

A tool kit is included in the sale along with manufacturer’s literature and service records that can be viewed in the gallery.

Chassis code F102BB and serial number 34935 are shown above along with a plate and sticker affixed to the driver-side door jamb, and the VIN is listed as F102BB34935 on the current Montana title. The plate notes importation by Hollywood Sport Cars, Inc. as well as a 1981 date of manufacture and bears the factory chassis code and serial number. The State of California Bureau of Automotive Repair vehicle information label describes the car as a 1980 model and carries a VIN of F101BB34935.
