This 2006 Ferrari F430 Challenge race car was acquired by the current owner from Ferrari Westlake of Thousand Oaks, California, in 2020 and used as a track car over their ensuing six years with the car. Finished in white with an FF Corse front bumper cover and carbon-fiber rear wing, the car is powered by a 4.3-liter DOHC V8 mated to a six-speed F1 sequential transaxle with mechanical limited-slip differential. It rides on 19″ BBS center-lock wheels coupled with remote-reservoir dampers as well as Brembo brake calipers over two-piece steel rotors at all four corners. Inside, the race-prepped cockpit features an OMP roll cage with door bars as well as Sabelt carbon-shell bucket seats paired with Schroth harnesses. Further racing equipment includes an OMP fire-suppression system, a CoolShirt setup, and integrated air jacks. Work in 2020 by R3 Motorsports of Thermal, California, is reported to have involved an engine rebuild as well as installation of replacement fuel cells. This F430 Challenge is now offered by the seller with a clean Carfax report on a bill of sale in Newport Beach, California.

The F430 Challenge was the fourth model to compete in Ferrari’s single-make racing series, making its debut for the 2006 season of the series. This example is finished in white and wears an FF Corse front bumper cover and carbon-fiber rear wing. A previously applied vinyl wrap was removed and the front bumper was repainted in preparation for the sale. Further details include a carbon-fiber front splitter and canards along with a rooftop camera mount, Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, Premier Fuel Systems quick-fill refueling valves, and tinted headlamp and taillamp lenses. The selling dealer notes damage on the front splitter and rocker panels.

The black-finished 19″ BBS center-lock wheels are mounted with Hankook slicks measuring 250/650 up front and 300/680 out back. The car is fitted with remote-reservoir dampers, while braking is handled by Ferrari-branded Brembo brake calipers over two-piece steel rotors at all four corners. Challenge models featured stability and traction control systems that can be disengaged.

The race-prepped cabin houses Sabelt GT-600 carbon-fiber bucket seats trimmed in black fabric that are paired with red Schroth harnesses. The dashboard and transmission tunnel wear sueded upholstery with red stitching, and further equipment includes an OMP fire suppression system and roll cage along with Schroth netting, a CoolShirt system, carbon-fiber door panels, and checker-plate floor panels.

The microsuede-wrapped steering wheel features a red centering stripe and sits ahead of column-mounted shift paddles. Secured by a quick-release hub, the wheel frames a digital display with a 10k-rpm tachometer and integrated shift lights. The car is not equipped with an odometer, though a seller-provided digital diagnostic readout in the gallery indicates 26k kilometers (~16k miles).

The mid-mounted 4.3-liter F136E V8 was factory rated at 483 horsepower and 343 lb-ft of torque. The engine was specified from the factory with a carbon-fiber intake manifold and an ultra-light exhaust system. The seller tells us that the engine was rebuilt and the fuel cells were replaced by R3 Motorsports of Thermal, California, in 2020. The battery was replaced in preparation for the sale.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a paddle-shifted six-speed F1 sequential transaxle with a mechanical limited-slip differential. The car is further equipped with integrated air jacks.
The Carfax report shows is free of accidents or other reported damage.
The car has a 17-character VIN, but it lacks a title and is being offered on a bill of sale. It is not street-legal.
