This black-on-black 1998 Ferrari 550 Maranello has remained registered in California from new through the current owner’s purchase in 2019, and it is powered by a 5.5-liter F133A V12 that received a timing belt service in 2026. Shifting is through a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential, and the car shows 20k miles and features a central hood scoop, gated shifter, power-adjustable sport seats, a stereo, and automatic climate control. This 550 Maranello is offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with service records, manufacturer’s literature, a car cover, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the owner’s name.

The Pininfarina-designed bodywork is finished in Nero DS, and the car is equipped with fog lights, a crosshatch grille with a central Cavallino Rampante badge, a central hood scoop, power-operated heated side mirrors, and a quad-exit exhaust. Paint protection film has been applied to the front of the car, and the seller notes blemishes on the rear window trim.

The 18″ five-spoke alloy wheels wear yellow prancing horse center caps and are fitted with Pirelli P Zero Rosso tires that were mounted in 2018. The car is equipped with an independent front and rear suspension with unequal-length wishbones and telescopic rear shock absorbers, and stopping power is provided by cross-drilled and ventilated rotors at all four corners.

The cockpit features adjustable sport seats trimmed in Nero leather upholstery, and the dashboard was reupholstered in 2007. Interior amenities include a gated shifter, a rear parcel shelf with leather straps, a Ferrari stereo, and automatic climate control. Sticky buttons have been addressed, and the door handles were serviced in 2019 and 2025. There is wear on the driver’s seat bolster.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a Jaeger gauge cluster with a 220-mph speedometer and a 10k-rpm tachometer alongside gauges for coolant temperature and oil pressure. An analog clock and gauges for oil temperature and fuel level are located atop the center stack. The six-digit odometer shows 20k miles, approximately 1,500 of which were added under current ownership.

The 5.5-liter F133A quad-cam V12 features Bosch Motronic engine management and dry-sump lubrication, and it was factory rated at 485 horsepower and 419 lb-ft of torque. The alternator was replaced in 2021, and the air conditioning compressor was repaired in 2025. A timing belt service was completed in 2026, at which time the crankshaft seal, camshaft drive bearing, spark plugs, and valve cover gaskets were replaced.

Power is routed to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. A Tubi Style exhaust system is fitted, and the transmission fluid was changed in 2026.

Manufacturer’s literature and service records are included in the sale.
The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage.
