This 2004 Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale is one of approximately 1,300 examples produced worldwide, and it is finished in Blu Tour de France over red leather. Power is provided by a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter V8 linked with a six-speed F1 sequential transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes carbon-fiber Sport seats, ceramic-composite brakes, 19″ Challenge-style wheels, and Scuderia Ferrari fender shields. The car spent time in Florida, Texas, California, and North Carolina before it ran off the road and hit a parked motor vehicle in May 2020, and it was subsequently declared a “total loss.” The current owners purchased the car in its damaged state and completed repairs between 2021 and 2023. Now indicating 16k miles, this 360 Challenge Stradale is offered on dealer consignment with a car cover, a battery tender, manufacturer’s literature, tools, accessories, photos of the car before and during repairs, and a North Carolina title.
The 360 Challenge Stradale was the track-focused version of the 360 Modena and featured weight-saving measures including composite bumpers, a Lexan rear window with carbon-fiber supports, and carbon-fiber mirror housings. This example is finished in Blu Tour de France with red, white, and green stripes and features xenon headlights, Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, and a Challenge-style rear grille. The Carfax report notes that the car ran off the road and hit a parked motor vehicle in May 2020 and that the airbag deployed, the car was disabled, and the front, right front, and left front sustained “minor to moderate” damage. The car was subsequently declared a “total loss” by an insurance company. Clear paint protection film covers the front bumper cover, fenders, rocker moldings, and lower rear quarter panels, and the selling dealer notes blemishes on the mirror caps.
The car was purchased in its damaged state by the current owner, Automotive International of Charlotte in North Carolina, and they completed repairs between October 2021 and February 2023. Associated rebuild documentation, paint meter readings, and photos showing the car before and during repairs are viewable in the gallery.
The 19″ Challenge-style alloy wheels are mounted with Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires. The selling dealer notes wear on the center caps. The suspension features lower and stiffer titanium coil springs as well as a thicker rear anti-roll bar than those on the standard 360. Stopping power is from red-finished Ferrari-branded calipers over cross-drilled and ventilated ceramic-composite rotors at each corner. The power steering system belt was reportedly replaced in October 2022, and the brake fluid was flushed in February 2025.
The carbon-fiber Sport seats are upholstered in red leather complemented by a two-tone dashboard. Weight-saving trim utilized in the Challenge Stradale model included carbon-fiber door panels, a carbon-fiber console, and reduced sound deadening. Further appointments comprise a fire extinguisher, aluminum pedals, and automatic climate control. The upper dashboard was retrimmed in Alcantara in July 2022, and the air-conditioning system belt was replaced in October 2022. Worn Alcantara is visible in the cockpit.
The two-tone leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 220-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an 8,500-rpm redline as well as a digital fuel level readout and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, and coolant temperature. Paddle shifters for the F1 gearbox are mounted behind the steering wheel. The digital odometer indicates 16k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership. Instrument cluster repairs were noted in the Carfax report in April 2019.
The mid-mounted 3.6-liter Tipo F131 V8 features a flat-plane crankshaft, dry-sump lubrication, dual overhead camshafts, and five valves per cylinder. The Challenge Stradale was factory rated at 425 horsepower, an increase over the standard 360, achieved using lighter and higher-compression pistons, a revised intake manifold, and ported intake and exhaust runners. A timing belt service was last completed in October 2022, and other work at that time included installing Hill Engineering camshaft belt pulleys and replacing the spark plugs and O-rings. The oil was changed in February 2025, and photos of compression test results are provided in the gallery.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through an electrohydraulic six-speed F1 sequential transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The transaxle fluid was reportedly changed in February 2025.
A car cover, a battery tender, manufacturer’s literature, tools, and accessories are included in the sale.
The Carfax report notes the aforementioned accident entry and “total loss” declaration.
The North Carolina carries a “salvage rebuilt” brand and is noted as a duplicate.
