This 1998 Ferrari F355 Spider was purchased by its current owner on BaT in September 2023, following registration history in several states, and its odometer now shows 24k miles. Finished in Giallo Modena over black Connolly leather, the car is powered by a 3.5-liter DOHC V8 linked with a paddle-shifted six-speed F1 gearbox. Equipment includes a black soft top, 18″ five-spoke magnesium wheels, a limited-slip differential, pop-up headlights, an Alpine CD stereo, automatic climate control, and a Capristo exhaust system. The timing belts and tires were replaced in 2022, and work under current ownership consisted of replacing the battery and recharging the air-conditioning refrigerant. This F355 Spider is offered by the seller on behalf of its owner with service records dating from 2022, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Florida title in the owner’s name.

The Pininfarina-designed body is finished in Giallo Modena, with styling that incorporates a power-operated black convertible top as well as pop-up headlights, front fog lights, an integrated decklid spoiler, quad exhaust outlets, a vented engine cover, and air intakes on the doors and rocker panels. The convertible top’s mechanism was overhauled in 2022, and it received a hydraulic fluid flush in December 2023.

Five-spoke 18″ magnesium wheels were mounted with 225/40 front and 265/40 rear Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires in September 2022. Braking is handled by refinished Ferrari-branded brake calipers over cross-drilled and ventilated rotors. The brake fluid was flushed in 2022, and the rear shocks were rebuilt at that time.

The sport seats are upholstered in black Connolly leather that extends to the center console, door-panel inserts, and lower half of the dashboard. Additional appointments include automatic climate control, an Alpine AM/FM/CD stereo, and drilled aluminum pedals. The seller tells us that sticky interior control buttons were refinished.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames shift paddles and instrumentation consisting of a 200-mph speedometer, a 10k-rpm tachometer, a coolant-temperature gauge, and a digital gear indicator. Additional instruments in the center of the dashboard include an analog clock and gauges for fuel level and oil pressure. The six-digit odometer shows 24k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership.

The mid-mounted 3.5-liter DOHC V8 features five valves per cylinder and dry-sump lubrication. The timing belts and tensioners were replaced as part of an engine-out service in 2022, at which time wiring was repaired, a coil pack was replaced, and many of the components were refinished. Work in 2023 involved recharging the air-conditioning refrigerant and replacing the battery. Various coolant and heater hoses were replaced between 2023 and 2024, and a December 2024 invoice notes that several hoses will need replacement at the next major service.

Power is routed to the rear wheels via an electrohydraulically operated six-speed F1 gearbox and a limited-slip differential. The reverse lever was replaced in October 2023. A Capristo exhaust system has been fitted, and additional underside images are viewable in the gallery.
