This 1979 Ferrari 308 GTB is powered by a 2.9-liter quad-cam V8 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle and is finished in Rosso Chiaro over beige leather upholstery. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, 16″ five-spoke alloy wheels, pop-up headlights, a quad-exit exhaust system, air conditioning, a gated shifter, and electric windows. The car is said to have remained with its long-term prior owner in Georgia until the selling dealer’s acquisition in 2024. This 308 GTB shows 27k miles and is offered in Arizona with a window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, a tool kit, and a clean Ohio title.
The 308 GTB was introduced at the 1975 Paris Motor Show and featured Pininfarina-styled bodywork. The car is finished in Rosso Chiaro and features pop-up headlights, a driver-side mirror, a vented decklid, and quad exhaust outlets. Silver 16″ five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with Bridgestone Potenza tires. The car features a fully independent suspension with double wishbones front and rear, and stopping power is provided by ventilated discs at each corner. The brake fluid was changed in 2021.
The cockpit features bolstered seats trimmed in beige leather upholstery along with matching door panels. Equipment includes air conditioning, a Blaupunkt cassette stereo, electric windows, and a gated shifter with a dogleg gear pattern.
The leather-wrapped MOMO steering wheel fronts Veglia instrumentation including an 85-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 7,700-rpm redline, and supplementary gauges. Additional readouts are mounted ahead of the shifter. The five-digit odometer shows 27k miles, approximately 200 of which were added under current ownership.
The mid-mounted 2.9L quad-cam V8 is equipped with four twin-choke Weber 40DCNF carburetors and was factory-rated at 237 horsepower. Work performed in November 2021 included rebuilding the carburetors and alternator and replacing the fuel filter, ignition distributor seals, and Pertronix units.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential.
The window sticker lists initial delivery to Algar Enterprises in Paoli, Pennsylvania, as well as factory colors, equipment, and a total suggested retail price of $41,201.
