This 1984 Ferrari Mondial Quattrovalvole cabriolet remained registered in British Columbia through the selling dealer’s acquisition in 2024, and it now shows 16k kilometers (~10k miles). Powered by a 2.9-liter F105A V8 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle, the car is finished in Rosso Corsa over black leather upholstery. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, 390mm five-spoke alloy wheels, a black soft top, a gated shifter, power windows, a cassette stereo, and air conditioning. This Mondial Quattrovalvole cabriolet is now offered in Canada by the selling dealer with manufacturer’s literature, partial service records, a clean Carfax report, and British Columbia registration.
The Pininfarina-styled bodywork is finished in Rosso Corsa and features a black soft top, pop-up headlights, integrated front fog lights, side air intakes, black lower bodywork, and quadruple exhaust outlets. The rear bumper was refinished in 2015, and photos of paint meter readings and the exterior condition are viewable in the gallery below.
The 390mm five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with 240/55 Michelin TRX tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel vented discs. One of the steering rack boots is torn.
The four-place cabin features seating surfaces upholstered in black leather along with a color-coordinated lower dashboard, center console, and door trim. Interior features include a gated shifter, power windows, air conditioning, and a cassette stereo.
A three-spoke MOMO steering wheel frames a 280-km/h speedometer and a tachometer with a 7,750-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 16k kilometers (~10k miles), approximately 500 kilometers (~310 miles) of which were added under current ownership. The fuel level gauge functions intermittently.
The transverse 2.9-liter F105A V8 features aluminum construction and was upgraded in the Quattrovalvole model with four valves per cylinder. The engine also uses two overhead camshafts per cylinder bank and Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection to produce a factory-rated 230 horsepower and 188 lb-ft of torque. An engine-out service was performed in January 2015 with work including replacing the timing belt, cam seals, valve cover gaskets, fuel injectors and lines, and spark plugs. The selling dealer tells us that work in early 2024 included an oil change, a coolant flush, and replacing the TDC sensors.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The clutch was replaced and the flywheel was resurfaced during the engine-out service. Oil drips are noted from the underside of the driveline.
Manufacturer’s literature, two keys, and partial service records will accompany the car.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other reported damage.
The vehicle is being sold on its British Columbia registration, which serves as the ownership document in British Columbia, Canada.
