This 1985 Ferrari Testarossa was sold new from Bob Sharp Ferrari in Danbury, Connecticut, and later spent time in Massachusetts where it was acquired by the current owner in 1996. Now showing 22k miles, it is finished in Rosso Corsa over Crema Connolly leather and is powered by a 4.9-liter flat-12 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Additional features include 415 mm Cromodora five-spoke alloy wheels, a limited-slip differential, pop-up headlights, a single left-A-pillar-mounted monospecchio “flying mirror”, a gated shifter, and a cassette stereo. The car is described as a running project that has been sitting for a number of years and is noted to require a timing belt service before being driven. This Testarossa is now offered on dealer consignment with a tool roll, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Massachusetts title.
The Pininfarina-designed body is finished in Rosso Corsa and features a single left-A-pillar-mounted monospecchio “flying mirror” as well as pop-up headlights, fog lights, an asymmetrical cooling duct beneath the left fog lamp, side intake strakes, black-finished rocker panels, and quad exhaust outlets.
Silver 415 mm Cromodora five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with Michelin TRX tires that require replacement due to age. Braking is handled by four-wheel ventilated discs.
The cockpit is trimmed in Crema Connolly leather upholstery over the seats and door panels. Equipment includes a gated shifter, power windows, and a Nakamichi cassette stereo. The selling dealer states that the leather trim on top of the radio compartment needs to be repaired.
The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Veglia instrumentation including a 200-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline as well as gauges for oil pressure and coolant temperature. A clock and auxiliary gauges for fuel level and oil temperature are housed in the center stack. The six-digit odometer shows 22k miles, approximately 4k of which have been added under current ownership.
The 4.9-liter flat-12 was factory rated at 380 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque. The selling dealer recommends performing a timing belt service.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential.
The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage.
