This Tipo F101AC000 engine was removed from a Ferrari under previous ownership and acquired by the seller in 2023. The 4.4L quad-cam V12 was rated from the factory for 335 horsepower, and induction is through six Weber carburetors. A video of the engine being turned by hand is included in the gallery below. This Ferrari V12 is now offered at no reserve in Austin, Texas.
The F101AC is a derivative of Ferrari’s Colombo V12 and was produced from 1971 to 1976 for use in the 365 GTC/4 and 365 GT4 2+2. The aluminum V12 displaces 4,390cc with a bore of 81mm and a stroke of 71mm. Features include dual overhead camshafts on each bank, two valves per cylinder, and wet-sump lubrication with a 17-quart oil capacity.
Weber 38 DCOE carburetors are installed.
