This Ferrari 2.9L F106B V8 was recently removed from a 1980 Ferrari 308 GTSi by the seller. Features include dual overhead camshafts on each bank, twin distributors, and two valves per cylinder. The five-speed manual transaxle remains attached to the engine, as do fuel injection and ignition components. Video of the engine running are provided below. This Ferrari 308 engine and gearbox are now offered in Hamtramck, Michigan.
The 2,927cc V8 features dual overhead camshafts on each cylinder bank and two valves per cylinder. Variants of the F106B were produced between 1980 and 1982 for use in the Mondial and 308 GTSi/GTBi. Factory-rated output was 205 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque.
The included five-speed transaxle features a dogleg shift pattern and remains attached to the engine.
