This 1991 Ferrari 348 TS is powered by a 3.4-liter DOHC V8 linked with a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential, and it is finished in Nero over Cream Connolly leather. Features include a removable roof panel, cat-bypass pipes, a Tubi-Style exhaust, antilock disc brakes, 17″ alloy wheels, pop-up headlights, air conditioning, a gated shifter, power windows, and an Alpine stereo. The car was sold on BaT in July 2020, and subsequent work included a timing belt service, replacing the starter, air conditioning compressor, crankshaft position sensors, brake pads, and tires, refinishing areas of the exterior, and retrimming the interior. Acquired by the current owner in 2022, this 348 shows 45k miles and is offered on dealer consignment with service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean North Carolina title.
The 348 was the final V8-powered Ferrari model developed under the direction of Enzo Ferrari, and its design was overseen by Pininfarina chief stylist Leonardo Fioravanti. This car is finished in Nero and the hood and fenders were refinished under current ownership. Exterior details include a refurbished removable black roof panel, fog lights, pop-up headlights, side air intakes, louvered taillights, and quad exhaust tips.
The 17″ five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with Falken Azenis tires manufactured in 2021. Antilock braking is handled by Ferrari-branded calipers over a ventilated disc at each corner. The brake fluid was flushed and the brake pads were replaced in 2023.
The bolstered seats were retrimmed in 2021 in Cream Connoly leather. Appointments include air conditioning, a dogleg-pattern gated shifter, power windows, and an Alpine stereo linked to aftermarket speakers.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Veglia Borletti instrumentation including a 200-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 7,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature and oil pressure. Auxiliary gauges for oil temperature and fuel level are mounted in the center stack. The six-digit odometer shows 45k miles, approximately 9k of which were added by the current owner. The speedometer transducer was replaced in 2022.
The 3.4-liter quad-cam Tipo F119 V8 was factory rated at 296 horsepower and 229 lb-ft of torque and features Bosch Motronic engine management, cat-bypass pipes, and a Tubi-Style exhaust system. Work since 2021 included replacing the following components:
- Timing belts
- Water pump
- Valve cover gaskets
- Starter
- Air conditioning compressor
- Air filter
- Fuel filter
- Fuel line
- Coil packs
- Spark plugs
- Crankshaft position sensors
The factory catalytic converters have been removed, and the “Slow Down” and catalyst ECUs are disconnected. The air conditioning refrigerant has been converted to R134a, and the most recent oil change was performed in February 2024.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The clutch hydraulic cylinders were replaced in 2019 and the transaxle fluid was changed in 2023.
The Carfax report is free of accidents and other reported damage.
