This Tipo F101 E 010 engine was initially built for a Ferrari 412 with a manual gearbox, and the selling dealer acquired the removed engine and three-speed automatic transmission included in this lot from a larger parts collection in April 2025. The 4.9-liter Colombo quad-cam V12 was rated from the factory for 340 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque, and the engine has Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection. This Ferrari engine and transmission are now offered at no reserve in North Salem, New York.

The F101 E is an iteration of Ferrari’s Colombo V12 and was produced for 412 models. The aluminum V12 displaces 4,943.04 cc with a bore of 82 mm and a stroke of 78 mm. Features include dual overhead camshafts on each bank, two valves per cylinder, and wet-sump lubrication. A video of the engine being turned by hand is included in the gallery below, and the seller notes a flywheel for an automatic transmission is installed.
