This 1990 Ferrari Testarossa was purchased by the seller in 1997 and has remained registered in Illinois since new. The car is powered by a 4.9-liter flat-12 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle and is finished in Rosso Corsa over beige Connolly leather upholstery. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, 16″ five-spoke alloy wheels, pop-up headlights, power windows, a Blaupunkt cassette stereo, and a gated shifter. This Testarossa is offered with manufacturer’s literature, service records, a tool kit, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Illinois title in the seller’s name.
The Pininfarina-designed body is finished in Rosso Corsa and features pop-up headlights, fog lights, an asymmetrical cooling duct beneath the left fog lamp, side intake strakes, black-finished rocker panels, and quad exhaust outlets. A paint touch-up has been applied to a scratch on the roof. Close-up photographs of the exterior finish and trim are shown in the gallery below.
Silver 16″ five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich g-Force Sport tires that the seller recommends replacing. Braking is handled by four-wheel ventilated discs, and there is a blemish on the right rear wheel.
The cockpit is trimmed in beige Connolly leather upholstery over the seats, door panels, and lower dashboard. Interior amenities include a Blaupunkt cassette stereo, motorized seat belts, a gated shifter, and power windows. The air conditioning does not blow cold.
The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Veglia instrumentation including a 200-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline as well as gauges for oil pressure and coolant temperature. A clock and auxiliary gauges for fuel level and oil temperature are housed in the center stack. The six-digit odometer shows 23k miles. The speedometer was replaced by Lake Forest Sportscars of Lake Forest, Illinois, in July 2002. The accompanying service invoice is provided in the image gallery below along with additional service records showing mileage notations and a photo of the removed defective speedometer showing ~17,600 miles.
The 4.9-liter flat-12 was factory rated at 380 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque. A timing belt service is said to have been last performed in 1997.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential.
The Carfax report shows no accidents and lists history in Illinois.
