This 1992 Ferrari 512 TR is one of 408 examples delivered to North America between 1992 and 1994, and it shows under 6k miles following registration history in Texas and Montana. The car is powered by a 4.9-liter flat-12 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle and is finished in Nero over Nero Connolly leather upholstery. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, 18″ five-spoke alloy wheels, pop-up headlights, air conditioning, power windows, an Alpine CD stereo, and a gated shifter. Work performed since 2021 has included rebuilding the steering rack and replacing the timing belts, spark plugs, and tires. Purchased by the current owner in 2024, this 512 TR is offered on dealer consignment with manufacturer’s literature, a tool kit, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Montana title.
The Pininfarina-designed 512 TR was introduced as the updated successor to the Testarossa in 1991, with revisions that included restyled bumper covers as well as revised wheels and lighting. This example is finished in Nero and features pop-up headlights, fog lights, side intake strakes, and quad exhaust outlets. Close-up photographs of the exterior finish and trim are shown in the gallery below.
Silver 18″ five-spoke alloy wheels are fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport tires that were mounted in 2021. Braking is handled by four-wheel ventilated discs. The steering rack was rebuilt and the brake fluid was changed in 2024.
The cockpit is trimmed in Nero Connolly leather upholstery over the seats, door panels, and lower dashboard. Interior amenities include an Alpine CD stereo, motorized seat belts, and a gated shifter located on the center console alongside controls for the air conditioning and power windows. Various sticky panels were repaired in October 2024.
The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Veglia instrumentation including a 200-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 7,200-rpm redline as well as gauges for oil pressure and coolant temperature. A clock and auxiliary gauges for fuel level and oil temperature are housed in the center stack. The six-digit odometer shows 6k miles.
The 4.9-liter DOHC flat-12 received updates over the version used in the Testarossa including Nikasil cylinder liners, a redesigned intake system, and Bosch engine management. Output was rated at 421 horsepower and 362 lb-ft of torque when new. The timing belts, spark plugs, and speed sensor were replaced in 2021.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. An aftermarket exhaust system is said to have been installed.
Manufacturer’s literature, service records, and a tool kit will accompany the sale.
The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage.
