This 1985 Ferrari Mondial Quattrovalvole cabriolet spent time in Canada before relocating to the US, where it was purchased by the current owner in 2017. Showing 37k miles, the car is powered by a 2.9-liter F105A V8 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle and is finished in Oro Chiaro Metallic over beige leather upholstery. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, a Magnaflow exhaust system, 390mm five-spoke alloy wheels, a dark brown soft top, a beige convertible top boot, a gated shifter, a Clarion CD stereo, power windows, and R134a-based air conditioning. Work performed since 2023 has included replacing the timing belts, water pump, spark plugs, fuel injectors, engine mounts, oil pan, starter, battery, and tires. This Mondial Quattrovalvole cabriolet is offered on dealer consignment with service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Arizona title.
The Pininfarina-styled bodywork is finished in Oro Chiaro Metallic (104c) and features a dark brown soft top, pop-up headlights, integrated front fog lights, side air intakes, black lower bodywork, and quadruple exhaust outlets. The bumpers have been refinished, and door dings were repaired in 2016. Close-up photographs of the exterior finish and trim are shown in the gallery below.
The 390mm five-spoke alloy wheels are fitted with Michelin TRX tires that were mounted in September 2023. Braking is handled by four-wheel vented discs. The right front wheel hub assembly was replaced in 2023 and the right rear axle boot was replaced in 2024.
The four-place cabin features seating surfaces that have been reupholstered in beige leather. Interior features include a gated shifter, a Clarion CD stereo, power windows, and air conditioning, the latter of which has been converted to utilize R134a refrigerant.
The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 180-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 7,750-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 37k miles, approximately 10k miles of which were added under current ownership.
The transverse 2.9-liter F105A V8 features aluminum construction and was upgraded in the Quattrovalvole model with four valves per cylinder. The engine also uses two overhead camshafts per cylinder bank and Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection to produce a factory-rated 230 horsepower and 188 lb-ft of torque. A timing belt service was completed in 2023, at which time the alternator was rebuilt, the valves were adjusted, and the water pump, thermostat, injection valve, spark plugs, fuel injectors, engine mounts, oil pan, starter, and battery were replaced. The distributor seal and oil cooler line were replaced in 2024.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. A Magnaflow exhaust system was installed in 2016, and the throwout bearing, pilot bearing, and selector shaft seal were replaced in January 2023.
The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage from its first entry in February 1993.
