This 1998 Ferrari 550 Maranello was produced for the Japanese market and was purchased by the seller and imported to the US in 2026. Its 5.5-liter F133A V12 received replacement timing belts as part of a $6k service performed in June 2026, and shifting is handled by a six-speed manual transaxle with a gated shifter. Finished in Rosso Corsa over black leather, the car shows 35k kilometers (~22k miles) and is further equipped with a limited-slip differential, a central hood scoop, 18″ five-spoke alloy wheels, power-adjustable seats, a leather-trimmed dashboard, an aftermarket stereo, and automatic climate control. This 550 Maranello is now offered in New York with the owner’s manual, service records, a maintenance summary, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Montana title in the name of the seller’s LLC.
The Pininfarina-designed bodywork is finished in Rosso Corsa, and the car is equipped with fog lights, a crosshatch grille, a central hood scoop, Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, power-operated heated side mirrors, and a quad-exit exhaust. A paint correction was carried out in preparation for the sale.
The 18″ five-spoke alloy wheels wear yellow prancing horse center caps and are mounted with Pirelli tires. The car is equipped with an independent front and rear suspension with unequal-length wishbones and telescopic rear shock absorbers, and stopping power is provided by black-finished calipers over cross-drilled and ventilated rotors at all four corners.
The power-adjustable seats are trimmed in black leather with Cavallino Rampante logos on the headrests, while carpeted floor mats line the footwells. Black leather covers the dashboard, center console, and door panels, and additional appointments include a rear parcel shelf with luggage straps, an aftermarket stereo, drilled aluminum pedals, and automatic climate control.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel is paired with a gated shifter and a Jaeger gauge cluster with a 340-km/h speedometer and a 10k-rpm tachometer alongside gauges for coolant temperature and oil pressure. An analog clock and gauges for oil temperature and fuel level are located atop the center stack. The six-digit odometer shows 35k kilometers (~22k miles), and the steering was adjusted in June 2026.
The 5.5-liter F133A quad-cam V12 features Bosch Motronic engine management and dry-sump lubrication, and it was factory rated at 485 horsepower and 419 lb-ft of torque. The seller notes that a major service performed in Japan by Nakamura Engineering at just over 30k in December 2016 involved overhauling the water pump, performing diagnostics, and replacing the timing belts, tensioner bearings, and fluids. Following importation to the US, the car received another major service from Scuderia 110 of Port Washington, New York, in June 2026 at ~35k kilometers. The timing belts, tensioners, and accessory belts were replaced, and additionally, the air conditioning refrigerant was recharged, the oil and filter were changed, the steering was adjusted, and the car was detailed.
Included with the sale are Japanese inspection records spanning 2012–2020 documenting mileage progression from approximately 24k km to 33k km, along with detailed invoices showing a major service performed by Nakamura Engineering in December 2016 at 30,283 km. That service included timing belts, tensioner bearings, water pump overhaul, engine oil service, coolant replacement, brake fluid flush, clutch fluid flush, and Ferrari SD2 diagnostics.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the gallery.
The owner’s manual is included in the sale, along with a June 2026 invoice and Japanese records from 2012-2020 documenting mileage from ~24k kilometers-33k kilometers.
