This 1983 Ferrari 400i was imported into the US in August 1983 and was acquired by the current owner on BaT in September 2023. Finished in Nero over beige leather upholstery, it is powered by a 4.8-liter DOHC V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Features include Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection, MSD ignition, an aftermarket stainless steel exhaust system, disc brakes, 415mm metric alloy wheels, pop-up headlights, a 2+2 cabin, a MOMO steering wheel, air conditioning, power windows, and a Blaupunkt CD stereo. Work performed under current ownership included servicing the rear suspension and replacing the alternators and accessory drive belts. This 400i shows 20k miles and is offered on dealer consignment in Connecticut with a tool kit, recent service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Colorado title.

Unveiled at the 1972 Paris Motor Show as the successor to the 365 GTC/4, the 365 GT4 2+2 featured bodywork by Leonardo Fioravanti at Pininfarina and was built through 1976 when it was replaced by the updated 400 model. The cars were not officially offered in the US, though some were imported and federalized in-period through the gray market. The Pininfarina-designed bodywork on this car is finished in Nero (902). Exterior details include fog lights, pop-up quad headlights, hood louvers, power-adjustable side mirrors, quad circular taillights, and quad exhaust outlets with polished slash-cut finishers.

Silver-finished 415mm metric alloy wheels are mounted with Michelin TRX tires. Stopping is handled by four-wheel disc brakes. The rear suspension was serviced under current ownership.

The 2+2 cabin features front bucket seats and individual rear seats trimmed in beige Connolly leather. Appointments include air conditioning, polished sill plates, power windows, and a Blaupunkt CD stereo. Two control levers on the center console are inoperative.

The leather-wrapped MOMO steering wheel frames Veglia instrumentation consisting of a 180-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, as well as gauges for oil pressure and coolant temperature. An analog clock and auxiliary gauges for voltage and oil temperature are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 20k miles.

The 4.8-liter F101 Colombo quad-cam V12 was factory rated at 310 horsepower and features Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection, MSD ignition, and an aftermarket stainless steel exhaust system. The alternators and accessory drive belts were replaced in 2025, and the selling dealer notes an exhaust leak. Results from a recent compression test can be viewed in the gallery.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission.
The Carfax report is free of accidents and other reported damage.
