This 1999 Ferrari 456M GTA is powered by a 5.5-liter F116 V12 paired with a four-speed automatic transaxle and is finished in Grigio Titanio over Nero Connolly leather. Equipment includes pop-up headlights, fog lights, power-adjustable front seats, a Kenwood stereo head unit, and automatic climate control. The car underwent a timing belt service in 2021 before it was acquired by the current owner on BaT in May 2022, and subsequent work included the installation of stock-specification 17″ alloy wheels and repairing coolant leaks. This 456M GTA shows 44k miles and is now offered in California on dealer consignment with a clean Carfax report and a clean Washington title.
The Pininfarina-designed aluminum and composite bodywork is finished in Grigio Titanio (3238). The modificata models featured a revised grille with inset fog lights as well as pop-up headlights, and polished quadruple exhaust tips exiting through the rear valance. The front bumper was repaired in October 2021, and the previous listing for the car lists blemishes on the front bumper cover, doors, mirror covers, and rear valance. The stock-specification 17″ five-spoke alloy wheels were fitted under current ownership, and they are mounted with 255/45 front and 285/40 rear Pirelli P Zero Asimmetrico tires. Self-adjusting dampers and self-leveling rear suspension were standard equipment. Stopping power is provided by Ferrari-branded four-piston brake calipers over ventilated rotors at each corner. The power steering rack was replaced in 2022.
The cabin features power-adjustable seats upholstered in Nero Connolly leather that extends to the dashboard, door panels, and center console. Amenities include a metal shift knob, automatic climate control, and a Kenwood CD stereo. Service in October 2021 included recharging the air conditioning system, replacing broken mounting clips and loose screws in the right door, and repairing the leather on the dash, headliner, and parcel shelf. The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Veglia Borletti instrumentation including a 220-mph speedometer, a 10k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and oil pressure. An analog clock and gauges for fuel level and oil temperature are located in the center stack. The six-digit odometer shows 44k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership. The current Washington title lists an “E” odometer status.
The 5.5-liter F116 V12 features four valves per cylinder, Bosch Motronic fuel injection, and dry-sump lubrication. It was factory rated at 436 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque. A timing belt service was performed and the radiator, spark plugs, fuel filter, secondary one-way air valves, and air pump relay were replaced in 2021. Work in May 2024 included removing the intake and coolant manifold and replacing assorted coolant hoses and gaskets to address leaks.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transaxle. Additional photos of the underside are available in the gallery.
The Carfax report is free of accidents and other reported damage. The car most recently passed a California emissions test in April 2007, and the Carfax report lists a failed California emissions test in a February 2016 entry.
