Sega Ferrari F355 Challenge Deluxe Arcade Game

This Sega Ferrari F355 Challenge automatic amusement system is a deluxe version, differentiated by three screens and an enclosed cabinet, manufactured in 1999. The single-player station is equipped with an adjustable racing seat, a force-feedback steering wheel, shift paddles, a simulated six-speed gearbox, and accelerator, brake, and clutch pedals. The game offers six courses, multiple difficulty levels, and a selection of several driver assistance settings. This Sega arcade game is offered at no reserve in Wellington, Florida.

In preparation for the sale, three Unico Phoenix LCD monitors were installed in place of the CRT displays. LED tube lighting replaced the fluorescent tubes, while LED bulbs were installed in the control-panel buttons and brake lights, which formerly used incandescent bulbs. The steering, force-feedback, pedals, shifter, and game-control functions, audio system, and other functions were tested and are shown operating in the videos below.

Players can select from different difficulty levels for the available circuits: Motegi (oval circuit), Suzuka (short configuration), Monza (1998 configuration), Sugo, Suzuka (full configuration), and Long Beach. Driver controls include force-feedback steering, a gated-style six-speed manual shifter, and a shift-lockout system that requires proper clutch-pedal operation. The brake pedal activates synchronized brake lights on the back of the cabinet. The sound system has an integrated subwoofer.

Wraparound monitors are positioned around the adjustable racing seat, and the steering wheel has paddle shifters. Accelerator, brake, and clutch pedals, as well as interactive instrumentation, are additional features. The unit is equipped with a 120V power cord, and leveling casters are located under the station.
