This 2012 Ferrari 458 Challenge was factory-built to compete in the Ferrari Challenge North America single-make racing series. Finished in yellow with Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, the car is powered by a 4.5-liter DOHC V8 linked with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transaxle and an electronic differential. An EVO-style front splitter and adjustable rear wing have been installed, and additional equipment includes 19″ BBS wheels, an F1-Trac traction-control system, air jacks, and polycarbonate windows. The race-prepped interior features a roll cage, OMP racing seats, a Safecraft window net, and air conditioning. Recently acquired by the selling dealer, this 458 Challenge is now offered in Florida with an accident-free Carfax report and a Montana title.

The 458 Challenge was assembled with reduced-thickness aluminum bodywork and carbon-fiber panels from the factory, and this example is finished in yellow. An Evo-style adjustable rear wing, a front splitter, and Scuderia Ferrari fender shields have been fitted. Further exterior details include polycarbonate windows with sliding side units and carbon-fiber air inlets as well as hood and decklid locks, front and rear tow loops, dual fuel fillers, a rear diffuser, and dual exhaust outlets.

Split-seven-spoke 19″ BBS center-lock alloy wheels are mounted with staggered Michelin Pilot SportCup 2 tires. The 458 Challenge came factory-equipped with an F1-Trac traction-control system, air jacks, solid steel bushings, stiffer springs, single-rate dampers, and a ride height lowered by 1.2″ compared to the standard 458. Stopping power is provided by Ferrari-branded carbon-ceramic Brembo calipers over cross-drilled and ventilated rotors.

The cockpit houses dual OMP racing seats trimmed in red cloth and accompanied by Sabelt multi-point harnesses. The dashboard is trimmed in black microsuede with red stitching, while the center console and door panels are constructed with carbon-fiber. A roll cage, a Safecraft window net, a radio, and air conditioning are further appointments. The fire bottle has been removed.

A multi-function steering wheel with shift paddles is mounted on a quick-release hub and sits ahead of a digital instrument cluster that includes a gear indicator, shift lights, and a tachometer. The digital odometer indicates 49k kilometers (~30k miles), and a mileage inconsistency is noted in a December 2019 entry of the Carfax report.

The 458 Challenge utilized the mid-mounted 4.5-liter F136F V8 featured in the road-going 458, and was factory rated at 570 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox with revised gear ratios over the contemporary 458 and an electronic differential.
The Carfax report is free of any accidents and lists the aforementioned mileage inconsistency.
