In 2022, Dennison International of Puyallup, Washington, completed a rebuild of this 4.0-liter Ferrari 330 Colombo V12 engine at a total cost of around $80,000. According to the seller, it is stamped with numero interno 1514 and was removed from chassis #8293. Equipment includes triple Weber 40 DCZ 6 carburetors, dual distributors, spark plugs, and ignition wires. The engine was tested on a dynamometer after the rebuild and has been stored since. This Colombo V12 is offered in Tacoma, Washington.
Ferrari produced various iterations of the Colombo V12 engine from 1947 through 1988. The block was fitted with replacement cylinder liners and assembled with CP Carrillo connecting rods and pistons and Vandervell bearings. The aluminum cylinder heads have Roelofs Engineering valve springs, Progressive Automotive valves, needle-bearing rollers on the stems, and elephant-foot adjusters. The timing chain was replaced, the single overhead camshafts were refreshed by Megacycle Cams, and the water pump was fitted with a carbon-ceramic seal.
