Pair of Ferrari 550 Barchetta Pininfarina Helmets

These two helmets were produced for use with European-specification Ferrari 550 Barchetta Pininfarina models. The medium-size open-face helmets have been repainted red, detachable tan leather peaks, and adjustable chin straps. They are accompanied by dust bags and carrying totes with zippered storage compartments. These helmets are offered at no reserve in Laren, the Netherlands.

Ferrari produced 448 Barchetta Pininfarina roadsters to celebrate the 70th anniversary of design house Pininfarina, and the model debuted at the 2000 Paris Motor Show. Examples delivered outside the United States were available with a pair of open-face helmets, while buyers in the US could opt for hats.

The helmets have a red finish accented by a prancing horse logo centered at the front. Snaps are attached above the face opening of each helmet to secure the included tan leather peaks, which are stored in the manufacturer’s packaging. Both helmets have 550 Barchetta Pininfarina branding on the back. Stickers affixed to the back identify the helmets as size medium. The original matte finish became sticky, and the helmets were repainted under previous ownership. Remnants of the matte finish are visible beneath the removable peaks.

Each helmet is lined with red padding featuring tan leather and black mesh accents. Sparco tags are sewn into the seams.

The helmets are accompanied by tan dust bags and red Ferrari-branded carrying totes with zippered storage compartments. The tote handles have tan leather snap closures.
