This 1990 Ferrari Mondial T cabriolet is a US-market example that spent time in Michigan and New York before it was acquired by the seller in 2007 and brought to Canada. Chassis 87238 received the “National Classic Preservation Award for Best Unrestored Ferrari 1977-1993″ as well as the Premio di Platino award at the 2008 Ferrari Club of America National Meet in Toronto, Ontario, before being issued a Ferrari Classiche Red Book in 2011. Finished in Bianco over beige leather, the car is powered by a 3.4-liter V8 linked with a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. A Tubi-style exhaust, a Pioneer stereo, and 18″ Testarossa-sourced alloy wheels have been fitted, and further equipment includes a gated shifter, air conditioning, and a black soft top. A timing belt service is noted to have been performed in 2023. This Mondial T cabriolet is now offered in Canada with the aforementioned awards and Red Book as well as manufacturer’s literature, a tool kit, the removed exhaust and 16″ wheels, an accident-free Carfax report, and Ontario registration in the seller’s name.
The Mondial was designed by Pininfarina, and the T model features body-color bumper covers as well as restyled side air intakes, door handles, and fenders when compared with earlier examples. The car is finished in Bianco with black lower bodywork and wears a black soft top paired with a beige leather convertible top boot. Pop-up headlights, integrated front fog lights, and quadruple exhaust outlets are further details. Paint-meter readings are presented in the gallery.
The silver 18″ five-spoke alloy wheels were sourced from a Ferrari Testarossa and are mounted with Goodyear Eagle F1 tires. The car is equipped with power steering and an adjustable suspension, while braking is handled by four-wheel vented discs with an anti-lock system.
The four-place cabin features seats upholstered in beige leather along with a color-coordinated lower dashboard, center console, and door trim. Interior features include a Pioneer CD stereo as well as air conditioning and power windows.
The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel is paired with a gated shifter. Veglia Borletti instrumentation consists of a 180-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 7,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 12k miles, approximately 6k of which have been added under current ownership.
The longitudinally mounted 3.4-liter F119D V8 features two overhead camshafts per cylinder bank, dry-sump lubrication, and Bosch Motronic 2.5 digital engine management. It was factory rated at 300 horsepower and 229 lb-ft of torque. The seller states the vehicle was serviced in the spring of 2023, which included replacing the timing belts.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. A Tubi-style exhaust system has been fitted.
The Ferrari Classiche red book contains a certificate of authenticity listing factory equipment, colors, and a delivery date of March 1991.
A removed set of factory 16″ five-spoke alloy wheels wearing Goodyear Eagle ZR55 tires is included in the sale along with owner’s manuals, removed exhaust components, a tool kit, and awards.
The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage.
The vehicle is being sold on its Ontario registration, which serves as the ownership document in Ontario, Canada.
