This go-kart was believed to have been constructed in Italy and was designed to resemble a Ferrari 500 F2 race car. It features fiberglass bodywork finished in red over a tubular steel frame and is powered by a 120cc four-stroke single that sends power to the rear axle via a drive belt. Additional features include a single seat trimmed in beige upholstery, an electric starter, an independent front suspension, rack-and-pinion steering, hydraulic front brakes, 10″ wire wheels with knock-off hubs, a faux exhaust pipe, a folding windscreen, and a wood-rimmed steering wheel. This Ferrari 500 F2-style go-kart is now offered by the selling dealer in Gistel, Belgium, on a bill of sale.

The Ferrari 500 F2 was designed by Aurelio Lampredi and was campaigned by Scuderia Ferrari during the 1952 and 1953 FIA Formula Two seasons, winning back-to-back World Championships with Alberto Ascari behind the wheel. The fiberglass bodywork on this example is finished in red and measures approximately 89″ long and 33″ wide. Features include a black wire mesh grille, bodyside louvers, a faux exhaust pipe, a fold-down and height-adjustable windscreen, side-view mirrors, and a faux chrome flip-up fuel cap. Scratches on the underside of the rear panel are shown in the gallery.

The wire wheels feature two-eared knock-off hubs and are mounted with 3.50–10 Michelin S83 tires. The tubular steel frame is finished in silver and features an independent front suspension along with a live rear axle with radius rods. The kart is equipped with rack-and-pinion steering, and stopping power is provided by hydraulic front drum brakes.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts an engine-turned panel housing a Ferrari-branded speedometer and gauges for fuel level, water temperature, oil temperature, and oil pressure. A starter key is housed on the left side, with a battery secured below.

The removable hood panel allows access to the adjustable cross-drilled pedals fitted aft of the front axle.

The cockpit features a single pleated seat trimmed in beige upholstery. A shift lever is mounted to the left of the seat.

The 120cc four-stroke single was factory rated at 8.5 horsepower, which is sent to the rear axle via belt drive. The fuel tank is finished in red.
