Ferrari 275 GTB/4S “N.A.R.T.” Spyder-Style Body

This body was constructed in the 1990s by Motion Products in Neenah, Wisconsin, and is inspired by a Ferrari 275 “N.A.R.T.” GTB/4S Spyder. Metal structural components and hand-formed custom aluminum bodywork support the piece, which incorporates a windshield frame, a bonnet, cavities for running lights, fender vents, doors, and a decklid. This Ferrari-style body is now offered in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.

Ferrari’s US importer and founder of the North American Racing Team (N.A.R.T.), Luigi Chinetti, convinced Enzo Ferrari to produce a convertible version of the 275 GTB/4 Berlinetta for stateside customers. The first example was constructed in 1967 with aluminum bodywork and entered the 12 Hours of Sebring later that year, where it secured second in its class and 17th overall. Chinetti planned for 25 cars to be built at Sergio Scaglietti’s workshops, although just 10 cars were produced due to low sales.

The aluminum bodywork is noted to have been hand-formed with a hammer and dolly in the 1990s by Motion Products. The piece features bare aluminum surfaces, and the forward bodywork incorporates a grille opening as well as headlight and indicator light cavities.

Fender vents are located on both sides of the body, and further details include a windshield frame, a bonnet, a decklid, and doors.

The seller commissioned the supporting steel framework, which rolls and allows for mounting on the wall or use as a display piece.
