Girard-Perregaux traces its origins to 1791, when Jean-François Bautte signed his first timepiece in Geneva. Italian architect and rally racer Luigi Macaluso bought the watchmaking company in 1992. Luca di Montezemolo, president of Ferrari from 1991 to 2014, met with Macaluso, and the pair agreed that Ferrari and Girard-Perregaux would begin co-branding watches. In 2004, after eleven years of producing watches bearing the Ferrari name, Girard-Perregaux moved on from the partnership. This example is number 44 of 100 ref. 4980 examples produced. The titanium case measures approximately 43 mm and is fitted with a rubber strap. Features include a rotating 24-hour world time ring, a date window, and three sub-dials. A box is included.

The 1:24 scale Ferrari F2005 was manufactured by Hot Wheels to depict the Formula One race car built by Scuderia Ferrari for the 2005 FIA Formula One World Championship. Rubens Barrichello drove the #2 car, like this model, and his teammate was Michael Schumacher. The F2005 was the final Ferrari F1 car powered by a V10 engine before regulations mandated V8s in 2006.
