This 1983 Ferrari 400i is a European-market example that was imported to the US under previous ownership sometime before 1999. It is finished in red over beige leather and is powered by a 4.8-liter Colombo quad-cam V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Features include pop-up headlights, 415mm wheels, wood interior trim, a Nardi steering wheel, and a Sony CD stereo. The car was listed on BaT in September 2023 and was acquired by the selling dealer in 2026. This 400i is offered at no reserve with service records, a Carfax report, and a clean Texas title.

Unveiled at the 1972 Paris Motor Show as the successor to the 365 GTC/4, the 365 GT4 2+2 featured bodywork by Leonardo Fioravanti at Pininfarina and was built through 1976 when it was replaced by the updated 400 model. The cars were not officially offered in the US, though some were imported and federalized in-period via the gray market.

The Pininfarina-designed bodywork is finished in red, and exterior features include pop-up quad headlights, hood louvers, quad circular taillights, a black taillight panel and black bumpers, Pininfarina badging, Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, and quad exhaust outlets. Noted flaws include damage to the front bumper, a crack in the lower front valance, and a paint chip on the driver’s door. Close-up photos of the exterior are provided in the gallery below.

Silver-finished 415mm metric alloy wheels are wrapped in 240/45 Michelin TRX tires. Stopping power is provided by disc brakes at all four corners. The brake hoses and rear brake pads were replaced, and the brake fluid was flushed in May 2026.

The four-place cabin features beige leather on the seats, door panels, dashboard, and center console, the latter of which wears wood trim. Equipment includes air conditioning, a Sony CD stereo, and power windows and mirrors. The air conditioning system is noted to leak.

The three-spoke Nardi steering wheel frames Veglia Borletti instrumentation including an 8k-rpm tachometer, a 180-mph speedometer, and gauges for oil pressure and coolant temperature. A quartz clock and gauges for fuel level, oil temperature, and amperage are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 51k miles, a handful of which have been added by the selling dealer. The gauges are said to have been repaired under prior ownership. True mileage is unknown.

The 4.8-liter F101 Colombo quad-cam V12 is equipped with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and was factory rated at 310 horsepower. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a GM-sourced three-speed automatic transmission. The emissions equipment was removed in 2010.

An aftermarket exhaust system is installed.
The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage.
