This 1:1 scale model depicts the Ferrari 412 T2 car driven by Jean Alesi during the 1995 Formula One season. The replica is said to have been constructed in Europe approximately 10 years ago, and the fiberglass body wears a #27 red livery. Features include fiberglass wheels, Goodyear Eagle slicks, a fixed-back seat, a Sabelt-branded harness, a replica rain light, and a MOMO steering wheel. The seller notes that the car measures approximately 175″ long by 77″ wide, and that it weighs about 500 pounds. This 412 T2-style display model is now offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner in Wevelgem, Belgium.
The John Barnard-designed Ferrari 412 T2 debuted at the 1995 Brazilian Grand Prix and secured one win and 10 further podiums by drivers Jean Alesi and Gerhard Berger. It was later driven by Michael Schumacher during pre-season testing for the 1996 season. This 1:1 scale replica of the #27 car was constructed using fiberglass, and it wears a red Ferrari Formula One Team livery with sponsor logos including Marlboro, Agip, Goodyear, Magneti Marelli, and Fiat. Additional details consist of front and rear wings, side pods, black-finished side mirrors, an antenna, a rear diffuser, and a replica rain light.
The gold-finished fiberglass wheels are mounted with scrubbed Goodyear Eagle slicks. The simulated braking system features cooling ducts, while the replica suspension is comprised of double-wishbones with push-rods. The model rolls and the seller notes that the steering is functional.
The cockpit houses a fixed-back seat trimmed in tan upholstery and outfitted with a Sabelt multi-point harness. The leather-wrapped MOMO steering wheel is mounted on a quick-release hub and features a prancing horse horn button.
The replica is not equipped with running gear or a drivetrain.
