Commissioned by Achille Castoldi in the early 1950s, the Arno XI was powered by a Ferrari 4.5-liter V12 and was piloted to a record-setting 150.49 mph in October 1953. It was later owned and raced by Nando dell’Orto, whose name appears on either side of the cockpit on this model. The deck and hull wear a red-tinted varnish and are accented with plank seams and brass rivets. The 1:8 scale model measures approximately 35″ long by 14” wide, and it is accompanied by a black display pedestal.
