This 1999 Ferrari F355 Spider remained registered in California through the current owner’s acquisition in 2011, and work since 2022 included an engine-out belt service along with replacing the clutch, F1 pump, shift actuator, speedometer sender, front brake components, and rear tires. Finished in Rosso Cora over Tan Connolly leather, the car is powered by a 3.5-liter DOHC V8 linked with a paddle-shifted six-speed F1 gearbox. Equipment includes a black soft top, aftermarket exhaust components, black-finished 18″ wheels, pop-up headlights, and an Alpine Bluetooth CD stereo head unit. This F355 Spider is now offered with service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The Pininfarina-designed body is finished in Rosso Corsa, and styling elements include a power-operated black convertible top as well as pop-up headlights, integrated front fog lights, an integrated rear decklid spoiler, quad exhaust outlets, a vented engine cover, and air intakes on the doors and rocker panels. The front bumper cover was repainted under current ownership to address scratches, the top hydraulic fluid was topped off in 2022, and the seller tells us a fuse for the top mechanism was replaced in preparation for the sale. A 2022 service invoice indicates the top motor and elastics would benefit from replacement, and areas of the carbon-look finish on the tailpipes are lifting.

Black-finished 18″ five-spoke magnesium wheels are mounted with 225/40 front and 265/40 rear Pirelli P Zero tires, the rear of which were replaced in 2022. Ferrari-branded red-finished brake calipers are mounted over ventilated discs at each corner. The front ball joints were tightened and the front brake pads and rotors were replaced in January 2022

The cabin features sport seats trimmed in Tan Connolly leather, and matching leather extends to the center console, door panel inserts, and lower half of the dashboard. Amenities include automatic climate control, drilled aluminum pedals, and an Alpine CD stereo with Bluetooth connectivity. The passenger’s seat potentiometer was replaced in 2022. There is wear on the outer driver’s seat bolster and the center console.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel is equipped with paddle shifters and frames a 200-mph speedometer, a 10k-rpm tachometer, a gauge for coolant temperature, and a digital gear indicator. Ancillary instruments in the center stack include an analog clock and gauges for fuel level and oil pressure. The six-digit odometer shows 37k miles, approximately 3,700 of which were added under current ownership. The speedometer sender was replaced in March 2024, and the check engine light is currently illuminated.

The mid-mounted 3.5-liter DOHC V8 features five valves per cylinder and dry-sump lubrication for a factory-rated output of 375 horsepower and 268 lb-ft of torque. The throttle cable and engine mounts were replaced in 2022, and an engine-out belt service was completed in 2023.

Power is routed to the rear wheels via an electrohydraulically operated six-speed F1 gearbox. The shift actuator, F1 pump, and clutch were replaced in 2023. A clutch wear reading is viewable in the gallery below. Aftermarket exhaust components were installed under previous ownership. The Carfax report lists failed California inspections in 2004, 2010, 2011, and 2013, and the car most recently passed a California emissions inspection in May 2024.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other reported damage.
