This 1984 Ferrari 400 GT i was imported to the US in 1984 by Ferrari of Houston, Texas, and it was registered in Michigan, Kentucky, and Ontario before it was acquired by the selling dealer in 2026. Finished in Grigio Metallizzato Ferro over Tabacco Connolly leather, the car is powered by a 4.8-liter Colombo quad-cam V12 that is equipped with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and linked to a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes pop-up quad headlights, fog lights, hood louvers, quad taillights, independent front and rear suspension, disc brakes, 415mm metric five-spoke alloy wheels, front bucket seats, twin individual rear seats, a central rear armrest, power windows, a Blaupunkt cassette stereo, a trunk-mounted CD changer, and air conditioning with supplemental rear controls. This 400 GT i is now offered at no reserve by the selling dealer in California with a Ferrari Classiche red book, a tool kit, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Ohio title.

Unveiled at the 1972 Paris Motor Show as the successor to the 365 GTC/4, the 365 GT4 2+2 featured bodywork by Leonardo Fioravanti at Pininfarina and was built through 1976, when it was replaced by the updated 400 model. The cars were not officially offered in the US, though some were imported and federalized in-period via the gray market.

The Pininfarina-designed bodywork is finished in Grigio Metallizzato Ferro (700) and features pop-up quad headlights, fog lights, hood louvers, quad circular taillights, a black taillight panel, black bumpers, Pininfarina badging, and quad exhaust outlets. The 415mm metric five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with 240/55 Michelin TRX tires that show 2017 production codes, and a spare tire is located in the trunk. The car features an independent front and rear suspension, and stopping power is provided by discs at all four corners. The rear suspension feed and return hoses and the front upper ball joints were replaced in June 2025 and servicing of the brakes at that time included replacement of the rear brake pads and a fluid flush.

The front bucket and individual rear seats are upholstered in Tabacco Connolly leather (846) and are accented by a color-coordinated dashboard, center console, and carpets. Interior amenities include a central rear armrest, power windows, and air conditioning with supplemental controls for the rear occupants. The Blaupunkt Cheyenne cassette stereo shows a “Code” message, and a Blaupunkt CD changer is mounted in the trunk.

The passenger door panel retaining clips were replaced and the headlight switch wiring was repaired in June 2025

The leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel frames Veglia Borletti instrumentation including an 8k-rpm tachometer, a retrofitted 180-mph speedometer, and gauges for oil pressure and coolant temperature. A quartz clock and gauges for fuel level and oil temperature are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 7k miles.

The 4.8-liter F101 Colombo quad-cam V12 is equipped with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and was factory rated at 310 horsepower. In June 2025, the battery, spark plugs, and oil sump pan gasket were replaced, the oil was changed and servicing of the coolant and air conditioning systems included a recharge of the refridgerant.

The car completed Ferrari Classiche certification in December 2019. The Ferrari Classiche scheda tecnica certificazione lists the original colors as well as the initial delivery location of the car. A tool kit is also included in the sale.

The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage. A gap in entries can be seen between September 1984 and February 2007.

The car has not been inspected by the California Bureau of Automotive Repair, and it has not passed a California smog test.
