This 2009 Ferrari 430 Scuderia Spider 16M is one of 499 examples produced to commemorate Ferrari’s 16 Formula One constructors’ championships, and it now has 7k miles through the current owner’s purchase in 2018. It is powered by a 4.3-liter DOHC V8 paired with a six-speed F1 automated transaxle and is finished in Nero with dual silver stripes over Nero upholstery. The car is equipped with a black convertible soft top, aftermarket headlights, 19″ Scuderia alloy wheels, an electronically controlled limited-slip differential, Brembo carbon-ceramic brake rotors, Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, and automatic climate control. This 430 Scuderia Spider 16M is now offered by the seller, a BaT Local Partner, on behalf of the owner in Pennsylvania with the owner’s manual, service records, a battery tender, a Carfax report, and a branded Montana title.

The 16M is fitted with lighter bumper covers compared with the standard F430 Spider as well as a carbon-fiber front fin, headlight housings, mirror housings, rear grille surround, and rear diffuser. This example is finished in Nero with a black convertible soft top, aftermarket headlights, heated mirrors, Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, 16M Scuderia badging, and dual exhaust finishers that exit through the rear valance. Damage to the front and right-front sections of the car is listed in a September 2017 entry of the Carfax report, which states that multiple airbags were deployed. The car received bodywork as a result, and no further information is provided. According to the seller, the mechanism for the convertible top intermittently requires manual assistance.

The 19″ Scuderia alloy wheels are mounted with Firestone tires. The 16M features a stiffened chassis and a retuned suspension with ZF dampers and titanium springs. Stopping is handled by yellow-finished brake calipers fitted over Brembo carbon-ceramic rotors.

The cockpit features carbon-fiber-framed seats trimmed in Nero upholstery and mounted over exposed diamond-plate aluminum flooring. Carbon fiber trims the console, door panels, and dashboard, and additional appointments include automatic climate control, drilled aluminum pedals, red seatbelts, and power windows and locks. The iPod mounted on the center stack does not work, the driver’s door sill has an imperfection, and a January 2025 invoice recommends replacement of the headliner.

A dash-mounted plaque denotes the car as one of 499 units produced.

The carbon-fiber-trimmed steering wheel features an integrated LED shift light, an engine-start button, carbon-fiber shift paddles, and a manettino dial for control of dynamic settings. Instrumentation includes a central tachometer with an 8,500-rpm redline as well as a 220-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, and oil pressure. The digital odometer indicates 7k miles, approximately 2k of which were added during current ownership.

The higher-compression version of the 4.3-liter F136 V8 employed for the 16M features a revised intake manifold and exhaust as well as carbon-fiber airboxes, and it resides in an engine bay with carbon-fiber bulkheads. Factory-rated output was 503 horsepower and 347 lb-ft of torque when new. Replacement purge valves were fitted in January 2025.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed F1 automated transaxle and an electronically controlled limited-slip differential. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the gallery.
The Carfax report shows the aforementioned damage, and a February 2018 entry lists a salvage title issuance.
The Montana title carries a “Rebuilt Salvage (09)” brand.
