This Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta SWB re-creation was constructed by GTO Engineering in Reading, England, as part of the marque restoration specialists’ limited-run “Revival” series on commission for its current owner between 2020 and 2023. The car features hand-rolled aluminum bodywork in the style of a 1960 Competition Berlinetta SWB and is finished in Grigio Ferro with dual Rosso Cordoba dorsal stripes. Power is provided by a 3.5-liter Colombo V12 that breathes through triple Weber 40 DCL6 carburetors and is mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Additional features include Dunlop four-wheel disc brakes with aluminum calipers, coil-spring independent front suspension, 15” Borrani wire wheels, a rivet-aluminum fuel tank, SNAP exhaust outlets, Wildman & Bugby Tuscan Cigar Aniline leather upholstery over fixed-back bucket seats, a leather-wrapped roll bar, and air conditioning. This 250 GT Berlinetta SWB re-creation is now offered on dealer consignment in Scottsdale, Arizona, with photos and correspondence from its construction, build sheets, a spare set of wire wheels, a GTO Engineering-branded car cover, a tool kit, a collection of Ferrari- and SWB-related literature, and a clean Montana title identifying it as a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT.

Ferrari introduced the short-wheelbase variant of the 250 GT Berlinetta at the 1959 Paris Motor Show featuring Pininfarina-styled and Scaglietti-built bodywork over a 2,400mm-wheelbase chassis. Approximately 175 examples were built with either steel or aluminum coachwork, the latter of which was applied mainly to the model’s competition variant. Passo corto Berlinettas accounted for three consecutive victories in the Tour de France along with two class wins at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. GTO Engineering was founded in 1983 as a vintage Ferrari restoration and parts specialist, and later began offering its own hand-built re-creations of the Testa Rossa, SWB Berlinetta, and California Spyder as part of a limited Revival series. Following the 2023 sale of GTO Engineering, orders of Revival-series were ceased, and this example is reportedly the 37th SWB re-creation built out of approximately 60 orders.
