Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 4.4-Liter Colombo V12 Engine Project

This Ferrari engine is from a US-specification 1969 Ferrari 365 GT 2+2, chassis 12697, that the seller notes was written off in the 1980s. Richard “Dick” DeBiasse of Dark Horse Motors acquired the engine for his collection thereafter. An induction setup consisting of Weber 40 DFI carburetors, linkages, fuel rails, and intake manifolds is included. Two distributor mount housings, caps, and plug wires are included, though distributors are not. Both cylinder heads, a partial valve set, camshaft caps, 24 rocker arms, 24 valve springs, a pair of camshafts, amd cam covers and cam gear covers are part of the collection. A crankshaft is not included, though twelve connecting rods and four-bolt main caps are. A lower bellhousing, a full bellhousing, the front timing cover and chain covers, chain tensioner, water pump, water pump housing, oil filter housing, thermostat housing, and water outlet housing are additional included items. The oil sump comes with the oil pickup screen and dipstick. To round out the collection, there is a power steering reservoir, fast-idle device, two starter motors that need assembly, the upper A/C mount bracket, the water heater “T” connection, and thirty plastic bags and bins of nuts, bolts, studs, bushings, and fasteners. This engine project is offered at no reserve in Costa Mesa, California.
