This 1982 Ferrari 400i is a European-market example that was imported into the US in January 1982, sold on BaT in August 2021, and purchased by its current owner on BaT in July 2023. Finished in black over tan leather upholstery, the car is powered by a fuel-injected 4.8-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes pop-up headlights, metric TRX wheels and Michelin tires, power-assisted steering, four-wheel disc brakes, front and rear air conditioning, wood trim, and an aftermarket infotainment unit. Work under previous ownership consisted of refinishing the wheels and front seats, repairing the dashboard leather, and replacing the fuel lines. This 400i is offered on dealer consignment by WOB Cars, a BaT Local Partner in California, with an owner’s manual, spare parts, a clean Carfax report, and a Montana title.
The angular Pininfarina-designed bodywork was repainted in black under prior ownership. Exterior details include pop-up headlights along with bright window trim and quad exhaust outlets. There is cracked paint near the base of the windshield, as well as chipped paint on the front of the car.
Refinished 415mm five-spoke alloy wheels wear 240/55 Michelin TRX tires. Four-wheel disc brakes were standard equipment.
The front bucket and individual rear seats are upholstered in tan leather, while black leather covers the dashboard and center console. Additional appointments include power windows and mirrors, wood trim, front and rear air conditioning, and a ZZ2 Mpplay infotainment unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames Veglia Borletti instrumentation comprising a 180-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, and gauges for oil pressure and coolant temperature. A clock and additional gauges for fuel level, oil temperature, and amperage are housed in the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 53k miles, approximately 1,200 of which were added under current ownership.
The 4.8-liter DOHC V12 features Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and was factory rated at 306 horsepower.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a GM-sourced Turbo Hydramatic three-speed automatic transmission.
The Carfax report is free of accident or damage entries.
The car failed its most recent California emissions inspection in July 2026 and was designated a Gross Polluter.
