This 2022 Ferrari 488 Challenge was acquired around a year ago by the selling dealer, who reports that the car has not yet been utilized on track. Featuring adjustable aerodynamic Evo bodywork finished in Giallo Modena, the car is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.9L V8 mated to a seven-speed F1 dual-clutch transaxle with an electronic limited-slip differential. It rides on 19″ Rotiform center-lock wheels and is further equipped with Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, adjustable coilovers, and an air jack system. Inside, Sabelt carbon-fiber bucket seats with multi-point harnesses are accompanied by a roll cage, air conditioning, and an OMP fire-suppression system. This 488 Challenge Evo race car is now offered on a bill of sale in Plano, Texas, with a clean Carfax report.

The 488 Challenge was introduced in 2017 as the sixth model to compete in Ferrari’s single-make racing series. The revised EVO specification was unveiled in 2019 with upgraded aerodynamics that allow the ability to adjust the front aero load independently of the rear load to help optimize balance.

This example is finished in Giallo Modena, and various decals adorn the bodywork. Further exterior details include Lexan side windows with sliding openings as well as a Lexan hatch/engine cover, a rain light, and dual Premier Fuel Systems quick-fill fuel fittings that feed an ATL fuel cell.

Center-lock 19″ Rotiform forged alloy wheels are mounted with Pirelli slicks. The car is equipped with an air jack system and rides on adjustable coilovers with Eibach helper springs. The ABS and traction-control systems were reworked for the Evo and can be adjusted via dials on the dash and steering wheel, respectively. Braking is handled by Brembo six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers over carbon-ceramic discs.

The cockpit houses a roll cage with doors bars as well as a pair of Sabelt fixed-back bucket seats with carbon-fiber shells accompanied by red six-point harnesses. The door panels are constructed of carbon fiber, and a display for the rear-view camera system is mounted atop the Alcantara-trimmed dash. Additional racing equipment includes air conditioning and a push-to-drink system as well as an OMP fire suppression system and safety nets.

The FXXK Evo–Style steering wheel of the Challenge Evo package incorporates LED shift lights along with driver switchgear and controls that complement those found on the carbon-fiber center stack. Instrumentation consists of a configurable digital screen with a carbon-fiber surround. The digital odometer indicates 156 kilometers (~97 miles).

Derived from the powerplant in the contemporary 488 GTB, the twin-turbocharged 3.9-liter Tipo F154 V8 used in the 488 Challenge Evo is equipped with a lightened exhaust system as well as specially tuned engine management software for a factory-rated output of 661 horsepower and 560 lb-ft of torque.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a short-ratio seven-speed F1 dual-clutch transaxle with Challenge-specific shift programming and an Evo-tuned electronic limited-slip differential.
The Carfax report is free of any accidents or other reported damage and notes issuance of a duplicate title out of Florida in March 2024.
The car has a 17-character VIN but is not road-legal, does not have a title or registration, and is being offered on a bill of sale only.
