This 1983 Ferrari 308 GTS Quattrovalvole was delivered new to Ferrari West Monterey in California, and is said to have remained in the care of its original owner until it was acquired by the late owner in 1999. Service in 2024 is said to have involved replacing the timing belt, water pump, and steering rack as well as retrimming the interior in beige leather. Finished in Azzurro, the car is powered by a 2.9-liter quad-cam V8 linked with a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. It rolls on 16″ five-spoke wheels and is further equipped with a removable roof panel, pop-up headlights, a quad-exit exhaust system, air conditioning, a gated shifter, and an Alpine cassette stereo. Now showing 49k miles, this 308 GTS Quattrovalvole is offered in Alabama by the seller on behalf of their father’s estate with a window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, an accident-free Carfax report, and a duplicate Louisiana title in the owner’s name.

The car is finished in Azzurro and features a black removable roof panel, pop-up headlights, dual side mirrors, a vented decklid, and quad exhaust outlets. The antenna is missing, and rust is evident on the bottom of the front fenders and doors. Photos of paint meter readings and body blemishes are viewable in the gallery below. Some of the photos used in the listing and in the gallery were taken in December 2025.

Silver 16″ five-spoke alloy wheels are wrapped in 205/55 front and 225/50 rear Continental ExtremeContact tires. The seller notes that the steering rack was replaced in 2024. The car features a fully independent suspension with double wishbones front and rear, and stopping power is provided by ventilated discs at each corner.

The seats are noted to have been retrimmed in beige leather in 2024, and they are complemented by color-matching door panels. Details include an Alpine cassette stereo, air conditioning, a heated rear window, electric windows, and a gated shifter with a dogleg gear pattern. In October 2019, the air conditioning system was converted to R-134a, and the evaporator, condenser, and compressor were replaced.

The leather-wrapped MOMO steering wheel fronts Veglia instrumentation including a 180-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 7,700-rpm redline alongside supplementary gauges. Additional readouts are mounted ahead of the shifter, and the seller tells us that the oil pressure gauge works intermittently. The six-digit odometer shows 49k miles, approximately 10k of which have been added under current ownership.

The mid-mounted 2.9L quad-cam V8 is equipped with four valves per cylinder and Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and was factory rated at 230 horsepower and 188 lb-ft of torque. The seller notes that the last timing belt service was in June 2024. The crankshaft speed sensor was replaced in July 2026.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential.

The window sticker notes the initial delivery to Ferrari West Monterey in California, and lists factory colors, equipment, options, and a total suggested retail price of $61,175. Manufacturer’s literature and spare parts will also accompany the vehicle.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other reported damage, and it notes that the vehicle was registered in a county that was declared a flood disaster area by FEMA in September 2005.
The current Louisiana title is listed as a duplicate.
